About Hammond Motorsports
Hammond Motorsports is a family-owned racing parts and manufacturing business located in DeWitt, Iowa. We provide quality race car parts, chassis setup tools, manufactured components, and knowledgeable technical support for short-track racers.
Dave Hammond started Hammond Motorsports in 1984 at only 13 years old. What began with a young racer’s passion for building and working on race cars grew into a lifelong career in the racing industry.
At age 22, Dave moved to North Carolina, where he worked with NASCAR race teams and gained valuable experience building 9-inch Ford rear-end housings and other racing components for Truck, Busch, and Cup Series applications.
After returning to Iowa, Dave reopened Hammond Motorsports full time in 2010. As the business continued to grow, Hammond Motorsports expanded its manufacturing, shipping, and retail operations.
In 2021, the company moved into a larger facility near the Highway 30 and Highway 61 intersection outside DeWitt, Iowa. Hammond Motorsports also acquired Dirt Car USA and JDM Pull Bars.
Today, Hammond Motorsports manufactures and sells race car chassis setup tools, HMS racing air cleaners, pull bars, suspension components, 9-inch Ford rear-end housings, and a wide selection of racing parts from trusted brands.
Our goal is to provide racers with dependable products, accurate information, and the technical support needed to make confident setup and purchasing decisions. We understand racing because we have spent decades working directly with race cars, racers, and race teams.
